Perfect holiday gifts for that special trucker in your life

Shopping during the holidays can be stressful and difficult, so we’re here to make it easy for you!

While your trucker friends may not even want to be thinking about trucking-related gifts for the holidays, they still might be in need of a thing or two to help them on the road.

With that said, here are some gifts to get your trucking friends or partners for the holidays!

Equipment

Truckers need an extensive list of equipment that is kept in their truck. They’re also required by law to carry certain tools and equipment.

Every trucker needs a pair of gloves, as they’re good for certain weather conditions and also to protect from injuries. There is a multitude of gloves out there, so picking a personalized pair will surely go a long way.

If your trucker fancies themselves a super trucker, then obviously a rugged pair of fingerless gloves can be a stylish, yet bold, choice for them.

Truckers also need to sleep (duh), so sleep-related items can also make a good gift. Memory foam pillows, heated/weighted blankets, or even a mattress are practical gifts that I’m sure they’ll enjoy and get a lot of use from.

You can also get them items such as a flashlight, toolbox, emergency kit, and other safety or truck-maintenance-related things.

Comfort items

Just like we prefer to live comfortably in our homes, truckers want to live comfortably in their trucks! And you can help them make their truck feel more like home this holiday season.

Homes are primarily considered important places for doing three things: eating, sleeping, and using a bathroom. Yes, there’s probably more than that, but for the purpose of what I’m writing those three are all that matter.

We previously discussed sleeping items, so let’s dive into the other two crucial factors.

To be able to eat a wide variety of foods on the road, you need to be able to store everything safely and have a way to cook it all.

While some trucks come with their own portable stove and fridge, many older trucks don’t. So, gifting truckers a portable stove (along with pans and other cooking products) or a compact fridge would be extremely useful.

Now, using a bathroom while on the road is tough. Having to stop and find the nearest truck stop or restroom-having establishment can be time-consuming when you’re driving a semi-truck. You have to find a place, make sure it isn’t too far out of the way, then look for parking.

Something as simple as using the restroom can set their dropoff times back drastically. So, why not gift that special trucker in your life a portable toilet!

They’re easy to fit into a truck and are useful when you have to go do your business.

Cash

Yes, I know this is a copout answer, but there’s a good reason for it.

Truckers need to shower and freshen up every once in awhile, but unfortunately showering at a truck stop can come at a hefty price. Some truck stops allow truck drivers to build up credits based on the gas they’re pumping, but the only other way to get a shower is by paying for it.

So, by providing the trucker in your life with some cash, it can go towards getting a couple of extra showers free of charge.

Additionally, they can just buy whatever it is they need themselves, which defeats the purpose of this entire blog post, but is also a viable option.

In any case, hopefully, this post helped you get a good idea of what to get a trucker that you know. If it did, let us know in the comments or on social media! Happy Holidays!
