UTECH launches dash camera functionality for GPSTab
UTECH, a leader in the transportation software industry, announced that dash camera functionality is now available on its comprehensive safety and compliance solution, GPSTab.
By adding new dash cameras to their long list of safety and compliance features, UTECH is seeking to expand its services in order to provide a comprehensive safety experience for users.
Currently, in the trucking industry, cargo theft and accidents can be extremely costly for companies. In 2017, 363,000 total crashes were recorded which cost companies upwards of $134 billion.
Additionally, in 2018 alone, the average worth of trailers lost was $142,342 with the total loss between the U.S. and Canada being $13.9 million.
However, with GPSTab’s Dash Cameras, hefty losses caused by accidents and theft can be effectively mitigated, in turn saving companies thousands of dollars annually. In the end, safety is not a luxury, it’s a necessity.
Concerning this crucial addition, UTECH CEO Yuriy Nekrasov said “We’re excited to launch our dash cameras, which will allow users to strategically place cameras throughout their fleet. In the trucking industry, safety is paramount and by adding camera functionality to GPSTab, we believe we can positively impact the overall safety of our users.”
